Problems With The Forum? Post Em Here

Postby Guest » Mon Feb 15, 2010 8:19 am

A new topic for any problems that you may discover while visiting the site or the forum. Very simple.

To start it off, I do not seem to have the capability to edit my posts in all sections.
I can not edit in Guestbook and Website poll, General Discussion, Suggestion Box & Your Comments, Off Topic Discussion, Modern Gaming, i dont know about Retro Gaming since I havent posted in there, or Retro Computing. Im a mod in the FAQ, Support, Readme, User Questions area so I can edit in there but I can also edit everyone elses too.

I also noticed that I cant even reply in the Latest News, Info, Updates & Rules section or make a new topic.
I know it was possible at one point because I have other replys in there. So maybe a recent update has eliminated that ability to edit your own posts. Shouldnt be hard to fix

BTW, I did switch my default language to British English.

*EDIT* And for some freaky weird reason, I can edit this. I dont get it. Maybe its recents posts and you only have so long to edit? Info plz

You got it in your last sentence. There is currently a time limit on how long you can edit a post. I am not sure what it is set to but if you want I can remove this. I suspect that there is good reason to stop people from editing their posts forever.

Hmm. I dont really see a huge problem with it. I just sometimes notice things that I say that I decide I would change. Or typos. Just the kind of person I am. Is there a reason to keep it? Just curious.

Hmmm... Sry bout the double post. Not really a way around it if I cant edit my previous message.

I noticed that in the Latest News, Info, Updates & Rules Section that, if im logged out and I view the section, the "post a reply" button is visible and I can click on it which obviously brings me to the log in screen. Once I log in the post a reply button is gone and Im not allowed to reply in that section. For any of the posts.

Thanks
