I made the mistake in 1987 of selling my C64 and all the associated stuff like games, carts, joysticks and light pen. I sold it to raise money to buy my first Amiga 500 which I could not wait to get. I regretted selling it every day since. Even though I now have several C64's in the collection they are still not my own :(

I made the mistake over and over again ...

I sold my G7000 to buy an Atari 800XL, which I sold later to buy a C64 (what a mistake ;-) ), which I later sold to buy an Atari 1040ST (another mistake ;-) ), which I sold to buy an Amiga 500, which I sold to buy a PC ...

I was only able to aquire back my Atari 800XL from the person I sold it to, unfortunatly I stored it with all the other Atari 800XL I have, and now I don't have any idea anymore which of those was my original ...

Roms and Emulators is the best way to start. Then you can choose the systems you want to have for real.

being 12 doesn't have to be a limitation, save your money and learn all you can about the stuff that your intrested in. but you may want to ask your parents before you start draging home every game system that you see. :)

There can never be enough video games in one's life, especially at 12 years old. Those were some of the best years in my gaming career. :3

I've never been a huge console gamer, I mostly rented consoles and games during holidays from video stores. I always regretted never picking up a Mega Drive/Genesis back in the day since I enjoyed a lot of the games on it, so when I stumbled over a brand new, boxed Genesis 3 for $20 at a local video game store (of which we have few here), I couldn't pass it up. Not exactly an unbelievable rare find by any means, but I never expect to find one locally, and importing one would of cost a small fortune.

that copy of "Super Mario World" is the Super Famicom version. you can tell by the shape of the cartridge.
