GAMEMUSIC: Updates and Changes News

If you use Google Chrome because you know, it's the best (until September 2015 anyway... they're getting rid of NPAPI support altogether)... and maybe you might want to listen to music from right inside your browser to either preview or even just to listen on the go without having to directly download the file, then I highly suggest this add-on for Google Chrome:
- Code: Select all
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/extereo-audio-player/aokleaidncgnfejhkddhfobfffalfilm?hl=en-US
Just make sure you disable it when you're not using it as it has some sort of memory leak and it also caused stuttering in youtube/netflix video playback. Disabling it when not in use and only enabling it when I do want to use it seems to have fixed that issue.
*note*
Extereo seems to have been updated since last I used it and these issues may no longer be issues. I'm not sure as I've still been disabling it when not in use.

Hi guys,
So I've been a little out of action for a while because I've just been all over the place between my work and personal life. I've been gaming so much with this new beast of a machine that I built that I haven't been doing my job as a curator extracting game music. That's my fault. And I'm sorry. So as of right now, I've began working on extracting the SEGA Genesis music library. I won't have the entire thing, but I'm working on it. And I'm trying to get the more popular games and their soundtracks extracted first, then I'll work on getting the whole list of US/EU games extracted before moving onto another system. I'm actually going to try to complete the soundtrack library before moving on to another console. And since I'm personally extracting these to ensure the utmost quality instead of just downloading them from someone else for us, it's going to take some time. But hopefully I can keep my focus and get these soundtracks extracted instead of putting them off and not doing what I'm promising now.
So I'm creating this sticky thread to ensure that I try to get at least one album uploaded daily. It only takes me a few minutes to get the soundtrack extracted into MP3 for a game... I don't know why I keep putting this off.
Without further adieu, here is the list of music that I have extracted from the SEGA Genesis ready for upload when our new server goes live -
Music quality information:
48 KHz @ 320 kbps 16-bit Stereo - guaranteed for every single track I extract. This is my promise. And this goes for all future extractions, not just the SEGA Genesis section.
List of complete soundtracks waiting for upload as of this post is as follows:
SEGA Genesis:
3 Ninjas Kick Back
Action 52
Beavis and Butt-Head
Contra: Hard Corps
Earthworm Jim
Earthworm Jim 2
Golden Axe
Golden Axe II
Golden Axe III
Jurassic Park
Lotus Turbo Challenge
Phantasy Star II
Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom
Phantasy Star IV
Ren & Stimpy: Stimpy's Invention
Road Rash
Road Rash II
Road Rash III
Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 + Sonic and Knuckles
Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball
Street Fighter II: Special Championship Edition
Streets of Rage
Streets of Rage 2
Streets of Rage 3
Tempo (32X game)
ToeJam & Earl
ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron
Vectorman
Vectorman 2
Zombies ate my Neighbors
P.S. - I've always been on the lookout for a really good quality rip of the entire Sonic series from the Genesis and now because I ensured that it exists, I have a copy. And soon, when the new server goes live... we will too.
