Woot! Just donated and got the high speed downloads

Now i can relive the old memories of past games ever faster....i would recommend getting the fast download to anyone as $10 is well worth it in the long run.

All though I haven't downloaded anything as yet, The first thing I did when I came to this site was REGISTER. The reason being that I wanted to participate in the FORUMS. And also at a future date possibly download . The thing is to Register you get 3x faster downloads and for 10 bucks gets you 9x faster downloads to play your fingers to the bone on whatever retro platform you prefer.
Lets keep the site alive and strong!!!!

No. Only the sections of roms on this list are limited to donators only. Everything else is absolutely free.

The reason there is a limitation is because this site gets roughly 1.9 million pageviews per month, and a very close following DOWNLOAD count per month as well. Bandwidth isn't cheap. The cost of keeping this site up and running is over 200 USD per month, and HT here pays it ALL BY HIMSELF. He needs the help. Money from donations DOES NOT go into anyone's pocket. The money actually does go to helping to pay for the site's running cost.

We discussed what options we'd go with when it came to generating money to help pay to keep the site running. This is it. It also doubled as a discussion for generating active members. HT's been around since 1999, and is literally THE LARGEST and SAFEST emulation site on the net. No discussion there.

All I'm saying is, no. You need not donate to get 95% of the site for free. We would, however, appreciate the donation if you can. :3

There is no reason why you can not donate. What does it say when you try? Can you post a pic or provide more details.
