What I have is Comcast Business, because we stream our radio station our upload is higher speed than download speed. We do get peaks of 100mb+. What we paid for is 12mb down and 5mb up.

I don't think so it really work or increase your upload speed. It just gave temporary boost up to the system or net speed not for long term.
