The forum has too many sub-boards

Postby BlueMaxima » Fri May 25, 2012 2:45 am

I honestly believe you could combine a fair few sub-boards in order to reduce the clutter around here. For example, putting "Retro Consoles" and "Retro Computing" into one sub board, "Modern Consoles" and "Modern Computing" in another, combine "Off Topic Discussion", "Have a Laugh" and "Pictures & Videos" into another, combine the "For Sale" and "Wanted" boards to make one each, and possibly "Support for iPhone" and "Support for Android" into a "Support for Mobile/Tablets" board.

it would be easy done but isn't separation of the board more easy to find? Maybe that's just in my twisted OCD mind.

My OCD-twisted mind has me thinking of organization and cleanliness, and since so many boards seem to provide the same thing with only very slightly twisted angles it just makes me want to lunge at the server and fix it personally.

I personally like the many boards approach, because it makes me feel like there are a shitload of places to post and things to talk about, whereas having... you know... only 10 boards makes me feel like the place is dead and isn't worth my time... And I have OCD as well where when I go in stores I can't stand it when a product's front isn't facing the front of the shelf, I always rotate the product so that it's front is facing the right way... and when there are more than one in one lane than in the next lane, like 3 are in the left spot, but 9 are in the right spot... or I can't grab the first one on the shelf, I always dig out from the middle...

Although, for some reason, I'm not bothered by this in my own house, which explains the cluttered mess on my desk atm... >.>'
