VisualBoy Advance Help needed

So im playing the MMNT6 (Megaman NetworkTransmission 6) on the VBA, but every so often the game becomes slow and laggy. Is this normal for the VBA? im kinda upset because theres a LOT of things on the game that requires smooth gameplay and well its impossible to play when it becomes laggy.

I don't think so, I've been using VisualBoy Advance for a long time, and I've never had any issues, and I've got a shitty laptop ATM... I'll check it out. :3

Ah i have found my problem. Apparently under Video settings i didnt put frameskip on, so it was causing the lag
