I would keep windows o n here, but for one little detail, I really do not want to do another system recovery on it as at the moment about every third boot or so it freezes on boot and this is an ongoing trouble that has happened since I've had it. Taken it in for service four occasions they do a system recovery and send it back, works terrific for a while then the freeze starts again. I don't think it is a virus or malware, as I am pretty careful about where I go and what I do on the net. And I really don't want to buy a new computer for a couple of years as I personally believe that there will be some awesome changes to the way computers will function internally with regards to how they process.
So, my thinking is throw Linux on this beast and see what happens. I handle DOS 3.0 pretty good on my old 486 machine, and I don't think I should be intimidated by Linux. I think there is a saying something like the computer is only as smart as the person sitting at the keyboard. So me and Linux should be able to dumb itout together with ease.
