Such is the life of a retro gamer and rom collector. Always have two external drives of anything you want to keep.

I need to get a few externals. Games are so big these days. Also, having a big collection of retro games can add up quick. I do like to collect physical copies too as well.

Yea, I need to get myself another 2 TB internal.... or 4 TB internal. Something. And maybe a 6 TB NAS for my network. That would probably be best...

Yeah. Did you see that Seagate is releasing a 5TB HDD for desktops? For $85 too. Supposed to be released laster this year or something, I can't remember. That is a good deal for that much space. Though I wonder how reliable it will be if and when it does come to the consumer market.

I believe it is going to be an actual HDD, not an SDD.

Just to jump in, there is a 4 TB SSD on the market... if you have a LOT of money...

I wish I had the money for that kinda of space. I do need to get more space though. Games are getting bigger, as well as room for my own development and programming.

i know the technology was outdated when the C64 was released, but i wonder if anyone thought about making an 8-track tape drive for the C64 or some other 8-bit computer??

The Compucolor 1 used 8-track tapes. See the link below.
