The best to date is Company of Heroes Series. These are the most dynamic and playable there are.

Anyways my favorite so far is Warzone 2100 it was originally a PS2 game but got turned into an opensource game.

JAHGoVeg, it was actually just for PS1 and Windows. Now, it runs on everything.

A great game, provided it works for you, is Tremulous. It's a hybrid FPS/RTS game where you fight off alien invasion, playing on either an alien or a human team.

Has anybody heard of that one game? Starcreator? Starmake? I can't put my finger on it.
