I feel insulted to say the least that DOOM would ever be considered for play on Dual Joysticks *shudders* but they released it for XB360LA and I dl'd it, paid for it, have all the achievements. However, if I could have connected a keyboard and mouse, I would have. DOOM just doesn't feel like DOOM without a mouse and keyboard. That's why Skulltag rocks the house. Yes, they were OK at BEST. Movement was too touchy and was way off with a stick, and aiming was too slow with the sticks. Way too slow. Play skulltag and you'll see what I mean. I'm sorry, but DOOM just isn't DOOM without a Mouse and Keyboard. T_T

Yeah, if a game is built to use a Gamepad, it is fine, but for most games M&K is better, acspecially on FPS, RPG, and especially MMOs. Plus with the keyboard, you can do text chat much easier and faster than a controller. It is of note that Dirge of Cerebus: Final Fantasy VII (PS2) was able to use a keyboard and mouse instead of a controller, but it was built for a controller and played better with a controller.

Consoles are nice if you don't have a high end pc like me, but still, I make due with my computer. I don't even own a console that goes online anymore. I sold my XB360... Kept my 120 GB HDD though, and my 256MB Memory Unit so I could keep my data and profile. Helps really. Oh, and in case anyone cares, my XBL Gamertag is DAKherrTD.

M&K always prevails. Always. :D

Hi,

I really prefer pc games a lot more. I think the graphics are better. Console games look so dark all the time and it's hard to see things even if it is day time on the game.

I can better control the games with pc. Even though I can play console games decently I play better with pc.
I have a health problem that causes me not to be able to operate the hand sets to well. I have the same trouble with pc games, but it is a lot easier for me on the pc.

Ever since my brother got his first pc when they became available to the public, I have been addicted to computers.

I go with PC.

You can emulate the game to look like the real thing, but the only bit you have physical contact with is the controller - or paddle. The benefits of emulating are:

1. One computer for all your emulators and games
2. Less to go wrong
3. Saves space in the house

But....

Many games were originally designed to be played with a specific controller or paddle, so, I have ammassed an array of controllers and paddles.

Atari 800: http://www.legacyengineer.com/storefront/
MAME : http://www.gremlinsolutions.co.uk/produ ... player.htm and I also have this one for portability : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0268572012 and saves me downloading GB's of ROMs
SNES : http://www.gaminggenerations.com/store/ ... -2485.html
NES: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NES-Nintendo-Retr ... 7861625336

PS2/3 is planned as is Sema Megadrive and others.

How will we emulate a Nintendo Wii? - When time allows and another coder doesnt beat me to it then I will explore developing the a USB Sensor Bar and nunchuks

My 2p.

Well that there are programs that let you use the Gyroscope in the iPhone or Ipod touch as a Wii controller in the Dolphin Emulator. I can't remember any more what it's called.
That's me

If you are using a joystick on a PC, is it considered playing console or PC?
