This is the result of one mans obsession for old computers, namely myself Hot Trout. Other old aliases include PAZ and HT)
I have worked, played, eat and dealt with computers since I was nine years old back in 1981. My first computer was a spectrum ZX81 on which I learnt to program in basic. By 10 years old I had moved on to a Commodore 64 with datapac ... a computer which I still very much love and one which I used for almost 6 years. In 1987 I imported one of the first Amiga500 computers into the UK from Canada it cost me over £600.00 at the time. It was the Amiga that got me into computers in a serious way. I was a member of a few cracking groups (RSI, The Untouchables) and formed a few of my own (Icrus) .... the Amiga scene was at its best in those days and had a cult following. From the Amiga I moved onto a Commodore 8088 PC and taught myself DBASE4 and Clipper ... by 1989 I was heavily involved with PC's both programming and building. At university I earned extra income by building and selling 80286 PC's and by the time I left University I was building computers almost every night after class. Today I am a director in a computer company that I founded back in 1993 .... but my real love is for collecting and restoring old computers and software. My personal collection contains, 8bit consoles, computers, software, handhelds, books, magazines, old industry used hardware like PDP's and IBM's and everything else in between .. in fact anything that bears any Resemblance to a computer. Hardware stands somewhere close to 200+ computers from all walks business and home. Consoles include Atari, Coleco, Mattel, Sega, Sony and many more. Software (8bit computer, console) stands at well over 3000 titles. Software (16bit computer, Amiga) stands at over 3500 titles. Computer Hardware & Peripheral Manuals over 100 Magazines (no idea .... but a lot) |
