  Retro Videogame Radio 24/7

Retro Videogame Radio

Welcome to live, streaming retro gaming radio. Over 10,000 mp3's of C64, Amiga, Demo and Game tunes are listed, played 24/7 over 4 different channels using a massive 10 feeds for your enjoyment.

how do i get this to work under windows/mac?
You need to have an mp3 player installed (if not using alambik feed). if you don't have one, go get winamp (www.winamp.com) or some other stream-capable mp3 player and install it. then just click on a relay server link below. if you still can't hear anything, check that your mp3 player is registered to handle .pls files. (reinstalling your player should do it, if you don't know how to register file types.)

how do i get this to work under unix/linux?
problems connecting to the stream occur because the feeds use forwarding technology and because of the way windows handles file extensions. the problem affects almost all unix and linux media streamers like xmms and mpg123. the simple workaround is to connect to the relays directly, using the ip:s and ports listed below.
e.g. mpg123
http://nectarine.ipsyn.net:8000
e.g. xmms -e http://nectarine.ipsyn.net:8000

my sound is skipping
if you are experiencing stuttering or dropouts, your net connection is probably too slow, or your mp3 player is not properly configured. try increasing the buffer size up to around 256k from the player preferences. there may also be some temporary network traffic slowdowns. try again in an hour or two.

I hope you enjoy this feature as much as I have creating it.

Massive thanks to Nectarine , Kohina, Slay, Ormgas and CGM for providing the radio feeds in the first place.

If you find any of the servers full, or have any problems getting radio to play, try the alternative feeds.

Ormgas is a streaming Internet radio station that plays almost exclusively video game music remixes from OCReMix.org. OverClocked ReMixes, or OCReMixes for short, are high-quality remixes of popular and not so popular video games. The music can be from the title screen, level background music, or just about any musical piece from a video game. These rearrangements are played in our stream 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
